Questions About Applying for a Job

Are you applying to multiple positions at Colorado Christian University?

CCU’s online application requires your written salvation story. This field will be required for each job that you apply to. We recommend that you save your written salvation story in a Word document so that you may copy and paste it into future job applications with CCU.

Do I need to complete the employment application online?

Yes. An online application is required from all prospective employees. It includes information about your work history, church involvement, and personal testimony. View our job openings and apply for a position that fits your gifts and experience.

What is the application review process?

You took time to complete our application and we honor your efforts by guaranteeing your submission is reviewed by a real person. We typically receive over 4,000 applications each year, which means this personal review can take some time.

Timing

It takes approximately 60 days for a staff or faculty position to be filled from the time that it is posted. Affiliate/Adjunct Faculty position fill times vary based on the immediacy of our need for instructors in that particular program. We keep positions posted on our website until an offer has been accepted.

Next Steps

We’re fortunate to have a lot of talented individuals who feel called to join Colorado Christian University. All candidates are given serious consideration and we will contact those who are most qualified to follow a process similar to the one below:

Check Your Status, Anytime

To view the status of your application, you will need to activate your account with Jobvite, our applicant tracking system. A link to activate your account is included in the confirmation email you receive when you submit your application. Once you’ve activated your account, you can check your status here.

When you log in and check your status, it may appear as “In Process.” What does that mean? We’re glad you asked! “In Process” simply means that your application is in one of the steps outlined above and is still under consideration.

I submitted my online application to CCU. How will I know that you have received it?

You will receive an e-mail confirming our receipt of your application. This e-mail contains a link to create an account to check the status of your application. You will also need to have an active account if you are selected to move forward in our process, as this account is required for you to access your video interview and/or further application questionnaires. Please be aware of spam filters on your e-mail account, and ensure that you are able to receive e-mails from notification@jobvite.com.

Will I be notified if I am not a finalist for the position?

Yes. You may log in to your profile to view the status of your application. We also send out regret letters, but it is possible this letter could be caught in your spam filter.

How do I check the status of my application?

The application confirmation email you received contains a link to create an account. Once you register for an account you will be able to view the status of your application any time. If you no longer have this email and didn't create an account, email HR@ccu.edu and we will have a new link sent to your email account.

The application process is taking longer than I expected. Am I still being considered?

While the application process may seem lengthy, we are carefully considering each candidate. We will inform you of your status as soon as possible.

I am interested in another position with CCU and I already submitted my application for a job with the University. Do I need to resubmit my application?

Yes, you will need to submit a new application. If you are applying to more than one position at CCU, we do recommend you keep a copy of your personal testimony and salvation story saved on your computer so you can copy and paste this in to future applications.

I applied for a position and was invited to complete a video interview. What is this?

CCU uses video interviews as the initial stage of our interview process for most positions. The video interview is pre-recorded and can be completed by the applicant any time, day or night. Practice interviews can be completed before recording the full interview and most interviews can be completed in under 30 minutes. A web camera is required for the interview.
