Trustee Spotlight
As a Colorado state representative and state senator from 2003 -2018, Hon. Kevin Lundberg has become familiar with a wide range of issues concerning state and federal government. He continues in those areas today as the executive director for the Republican Study Committee of Colorado, and he works with David Barton and several Christian legal defense organizations across the country.
Very early in his career Lundberg worked with his father in painting and custom harvesting, starting when he was 12 years old through the time that he became a partner, and was involved until 1980. Sen. Lundberg runs a media production business in which he has been engaged since the early 1970s, in addition to some small real estate interests.
Lundberg lives with his wife, Sandy, in Larimer County, just west of Berthoud. They have three children. Their oldest, Scott, lives in Seattle with his wife and son. Scott recently completed his Ph.D. in computer science at the University of Washington. Laura is in Milliken with her husband, Phillip. Laura received her B.A. from Colorado Christian University. She is the human relations director for the McLane Company in Longmont. Christy lives at home, completing a degree in computer science at Colorado State University.
Lundberg and his wife helped start Christian Home Educators of Colorado in 1990, after which he served on its board of trustees from 1990 to 2018.
Lundberg’s experience with CCU is extensive. He graduated from Rockmont College in 1974, served as the Rockmont Alumni president for several years, has produced numerous media productions for the school over the past 45 years, was appointed as a fellow for the Centennial Institute in 2018, and has served previously on the three of the institution’s Board of Trustees (Rockmont, Colorado Christian College, and CCU) from 1984 to 2002.
