State Compliance for Online Education Programs

CCU's Online Education Programs

Colorado Christian University is required by the U.S. Department of Education to be in compliance with state laws where we offer distance and/or online education. Each state has a different set of laws that regulate higher education institutions. We are evaluating and working to comply with these various requirements and will provide up-to-date information when available.

State Exclusions for Online Students

The College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS) at Colorado Christian University offers courses to online students in all states with the exception of the following program-specific state exclusions:

  • CAGS does not offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing — RN to BSN Track to online students who reside in Alabama, Alaska, American Samoa, District of Columbia, Florida, Guam, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Northern Marianas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Virgin Islands, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
  • CAGS does not offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing to online students who reside in American Samoa, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Guam, Northern Marianas, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, or Wyoming.
  • CAGS does not offer Educator Licensure or Non-Licensure courses (undergraduate or graduate) to online students who reside in American Samoa, Guam, Hawaii, Kentucky, or Mississippi, Northern Marianas, Puerto Rico, or Virgin Islands.
  • CAGS does not offer the Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling M.A. to online students who reside in American Samoa, Guam, Northern Marianas, Puerto Rico, or Virgin Islands.
  • CAGS does not offer the Dual M.A. in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling to online students who reside in American Samoa, Guam, Northern Marianas, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Puerto Rico, or Virgin Islands.
  • CAGS does not offer the Marriage and Family Therapy emphasis for the M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to online students who reside in American Samoa, Delaware, Guam, Maine Northern Marianas, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands.
  • CAGS does not offer the Substance Use emphasis for the M.A. Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling to online students who reside in American Samoa, Guam, Northern Marianas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, or Wisconsin.
  • CAGS does not offer the School Counseling, M.A. to online students who reside in American Samoa, Delaware, Guam, Maine, Northern Marianas, Puerto Rico, Virginia, or Virgin Islands.
  • CAGS does not offer the Master of Science in Nursing — Clinical Care Management in Adult and Geriatrics Track to online students who reside in Alabama, Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, District of Columbia, Florida, Guam, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Northern Marianas, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Virgin Islands, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
  • CAGS does not offer the Master of Science in Nursing — Nursing Education Track to online students who reside in Alabama, Alaska, American Samoa, District of Columbia, Florida, Guam, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, Northern Marianas, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Virgin Islands, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
  • CAGS does not offer Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) courses to online students who reside in Alabama, Alaska, American Samoa, District of Columbia, Florida, Guam, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, New York, Northern Marianas, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Virgin Islands, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.

Colorado Christian University is not regulated in Texas under Chapter 132 of the Texas Education Code. CCU is regulated by the state of Colorado and the Colorado Department of Higher Education.
