Employee Benefits at CCU
Full-time faculty and staff at Colorado Christian University have a wide variety of employee benefits to assist them and their families during their employment. Some of these benefits include medical, vision, dental, and life insurance; a retirement savings plan; and a tuition waiver program.
During the first week of employment, new hires meet with a Human Resources representative for a benefits orientation. The following list highlights CCU's current benefit offerings.
Medical insurance
Colorado Christian University is pleased to offer comprehensive medical options for its employees. The plans offered include national providers within a traditional Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) as well as a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) offering. CCU believes employees appreciate options when choosing medical plans for their families that fit their individual utilization needs. All plans operate with the same network of providers and facilities, cover the same services, and include preventive care at 100%.
Health savings account and flexible spending account
Health Savings Account (HSA) and FlexSystem offers employees the opportunity to pay for certain qualified benefits (medical, dependent care, and transportation expenses) on a pre-tax basis. Paying for certain benefits with pre-tax dollars reduces the amount paid in taxes and increases take-home pay. Every dollar paid on a pre-tax basis results in savings to the employee.
Dental insurance
CCU offers dental coverage to employees and encourages preventive dental care. The coverage offered includes in-network and out-of-network coverage. Employees will generally have more cost savings by utilizing a provider in the national network offered.
Vision insurance
CCU offers one of the nation's largest providers of eye care coverage, providing employees with access to quality vision care. CCU employees benefit from annual exams and discounted corrective eyewear with low monthly premiums.
Life insurance/accidental death and dismemberment
All full-time staff and faculty are offered life insurance as well as accidental death and dismemberment coverage at no cost to the employee. All full-time staff and faculty are covered with a Long-Term Disability and Short-Term Disability policy at no cost to the employee.
CCU offers voluntary life insurance / accidental death and dismemberment, cancer, and accident policies paid for by the employee.
403b retirement program
Colorado Christian University encourages employees to participate in the 403b program administered by Transamerica, a leading national financial services organization. A retirement plan is an important financial asset, and Transamerica partners with CCU and our employees in planning for their retirement.
