Dr. Rick Yohn Joins CCU as Dean of Biblical Studies and Theology
Colorado Christian University announces the appointment of Dr. Rick Yohn as Dean of Biblical Studies and Theology in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. Dr. Yohn will oversee the undergraduate biblical studies certificate and degree programs, and he will also lead upcoming development of future biblical studies and theology degrees at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
"We are eager to strengthen and enlarge CCU's biblical studies and theology offerings in the university's College of Adult and Graduate Studies," said CCU President Bill Armstrong. "Having Dr. Rick Yohn to lead this effort will be a great blessing to our students. He has outstanding academic credentials, years of highly successful service as a pastor, and is the author of several books. Most important, he has a true heart for sharing the Good News at home and abroad. We are delighted that Dr. Yohn is joining CCU."
Dr. Yohn comes to CCU after over forty years of pastoring churches and more recently, as the president and founder of Men of the Word, a men's ministry dedicated to teaching God's word and helping men in their walk with the Lord. He is a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University (B.S.), Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM), and Talbot Seminary (DMin).
Dr. Yohn is also the author of 14 books and Bible studies, including the Campus Life Book of the Year. A number of his books have been translated into German, Spanish, Japanese, Afrikaans, Chinese, and Tagalog.
His distinguished career has encompassed teaching in churches, on college and seminary campuses, at Bible conferences, and to NFL players. Rick Yohn has been married for 52 years to Linda. They have two grown sons and five grandchildren.
