CCU College of Undergraduate Studies Celebrates Record Enrollment
For the sixth year in a row, Colorado Christian University broke its total enrollment record for the Lakewood campus.
The College of Undergraduate Studies has added nearly 400 students to its community since 2009, seeing particularly strong growth with its incoming freshmen classes. For the fall semester of 2015, the new student enrollment totals 414 undergraduates, with a total undergraduate enrollment of 1,218.
"This steady growth has been very exciting for us as it creates a broader community and adds more life to the campus as programs, classrooms, and residence halls are literally bursting with students," explains Jim McCormick, vice president of Student Life. Hitting this admission milestone emphasizes the continued need for the Faith | Family | Freedom campaign, CCU's Campus Redevelopment program that recently celebrated the opening of new academic and residence buildings.
"As a campus we are hungry to expose more CCU students - the hope of the future - to what we have to offer, guiding and directing them towards excellence, community, and to one day, change the world." The more students that enroll at CCU, the more opportunities the University has to influence promising individuals who will impact the world for Christ.
Achieving this accomplishment reinforces that CCU is achieving its Strategic Objectives: "to be a magnet for outstanding students" and "to become a great university." The College of Undergraduate Studies anticipates a bright future of continued growth and success.
