Donald "Don" Trump Jr., eldest child of Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump, visited Colorado Christian University on October 17 to speak about his success in business, growing up a Trump and what all college students need to know before going to the polls on November 8.
Making stops around the state of Colorado to represent his father, Mr. Trump arrived in Leprino Hall to speak to business students enrolled in leadership and communications courses. "It's been exciting to be a part of this journey," he said. "We're really a part of a movement - it's more than just a campaign at this point."
For the past few months, Mr. Trump has been traveling nationwide for Donald J. Trump's presidential campaign, and he told CCU students that he's now adding politics to his resume, while also taking care of business remotely. Mr. Trump invited students to ask questions, all of which were directed toward the topic of Trump Jr.'s business experience, as well as being part of the Trump fortune.
Mr. Trump said that even though his family had incredible experiences, his parents always made them work. "If we wanted something, we had to earn it." he said. He also emphasized that one of the most important facets of success in business is finding a career that you love.
Leaving the students with some advice before Election Day, Donald Trump Jr. encouraged them to do research on what each candidate is going to do about the national debt. "What's happening with our national debt is not sustainable," he said. "That is something that [your generation] - and my kids - are going to have to fix."
He concluded his visit to CCU by posing for photos with students and shaking their hands. Business students were not only given advice about our current election; they were given a glimpse into the busy and public world of presidential politics.
