Wil Armstrong Elected to Colorado Christian University Board of Trustees
Colorado businessman and entrepreneur Wil Armstrong has been elected to the Board of Trustees of Colorado Christian University, it was announced today by Gary Armstrong, chairman of the board.
Armstrong has a diverse background in business management and leadership, as well as local nonprofit and international ministry service. He received his BBA in Finance from James Madison University in 1989. Armstrong is presently the chairman and CEO of Three Tree Capital, LLC and the chairman of Cherry Creek Mortgage Company - a firm twice named one of Inc. magazine's 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America.
As an active community member, Armstrong has served in many volunteer, nonprofit, and political capacities in addition to his business ventures. Most recently, he was elected chairman of the Armstrong Family Foundation. The foundation focuses its work and grants on furthering evangelism, mitigating poverty and advocating constitutional principles. In addition, he is currently co-chairman of the Business Council for the Centennial Institute and a member of the board of trustees at Valor Christian High School.
Wil Armstrong was named the Entrepreneur of the Year by the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association in August 2006 for his innovation and respected business endeavors. He was also recognized by the Denver Business Journal in 2005 as one of the 40 Under 40 outstanding local professionals for his business success and community contributions. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).
Armstrong's interest in community volunteer service has extended to: chairman of the board of directors for the Leadership Program of the Rockies (LPR), board of trustees of ACE Scholarships, executive board of the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts, board of advisors of Leader's Challenge, chairman of the Citizen Advisory Board of the Claremont Institute-Colorado, advisory board of Alternatives Pregnancy Center, and National Board of Directors of Enterprise Development International.
"Wil has long been a friend and avid supporter of Colorado Christian University, and today we're thrilled that he will join CCU's board of trustees," commented CCU board chairman Gary Armstrong. "Wil's background in business leadership as well as his public service in both political and ministry capacities will be valuable assets as we strive to continue our mission to become a great university."

His faithful commitment to our Lord in business as well as in his personal life serves as an example for all of us as we continue to train and educate young leaders to serve Christ."
Wil Armstrong and his wife Kristy have three children. They live in Greenwood Village, Colorado and are members of Wellspring Church. Wil is the son of former CCU president Bill Armstrong (2006-2016), and his mother Ellen is a former trustee of Colorado Christian University.
