CCU Announces New President's Advisory Council
Colorado Christian University (CCU) has established a new Advisory Council to help promote the mission, vision, and Strategic Objectives of the University. It consists of leaders of local or national reputation in business, ministry, education, and politics, who are strongly aligned with the values and vision of CCU, who will endorse the University and who will give counsel so that the University remains strong and on mission. Unlike the Board of Trustees, the Advisory Council has no governing responsibilities, but members will act as expert advisors to CCU's leadership, including the President's Cabinet and the Board of Trustees. The first five members of the newly established Advisory Council include:
Terry Considine
Colorado businessman Terry Considine has led two IPOs and served five public companies as chairman/CEO. Considine has been active in politics; he managed the successful U.S. Senate campaign of Bill Armstrong (Colorado, 1984), was elected twice to the Colorado State Senate, and was the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in 1992.
Hugh Hewitt
Hugh Hewitt is a lawyer, law professor, and broadcast journalist with a nationally syndicated radio show heard in over 120 cities across the nation every weekday afternoon. He has received three Emmy awards and is the author of a dozen books, including two New York Times best-sellers.
Alan Mason
With over 40 years of broadcasting experience, Alan Mason has a passion for Christian radio. He has been on-air, a major-market program director, a group program director, vice president, the chief operating officer, and now president of EMF Broadcasting - owners of the K-LOVE and Air1 networks.
Jane Norton
Jane Norton was the third woman and first Republican woman to serve as the Lieutenant Governor of Colorado (2003-2007). Prior to her election as Colorado's Lieutenant Governor, Norton worked as a regional director in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush administrations.
