CCU Announces M.S. in Accounting Program
Colorado Christian University’s School of Business and Technology in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies has expanded its graduate-level offerings to include a Master of Science in Accounting.
The new online master’s degree provides focused graduate-level preparation for students interested in advancing their accounting career. The 30-credit-hour program fulfills most states’ incremental education requirements to pursue a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) credential.
“The master’s in Accounting is a great option for students looking to take the next step in their career,” Dr. Mellani Day, dean of the School of Business and Technology, said. “With double-digit growth projected in the field of accounting in the next decade, the new graduate-level program will ensure CCU and its students remain competitive in a changing marketplace.”
The Master of Science in Accounting is reserved for students who have an undergraduate degree in accounting and are in compliance with their state’s board of accountancy. The program is completely online and can be finished in as little as five semesters.
The new graduate-level program will allow undergraduate accounting students to continue their education online at CCU following the completion of a bachelor’s degree and earn the requisite education credits required by many states to receive their CPA credential.
The M.S. in Accounting program joins CCU’s online MBA, Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL), and Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master of Science in Criminal Justice, and Master of Science in Cyber Security programs in the School of Business and Technology’s graduate offerings. The MBA program offers four emphases: advanced accounting, health care administration, leadership, and project management.
The College of Adult and Graduate Studies also offers an online certificate in Accounting and an online Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
