Dr. Irina Moreland to Play at Carnegie Hall on October 16
CCU affiliate faculty member and pianist joins the stage in a special performance honoring French Impressionists Debussy and Ravel
This month, Colorado Christian University's own Dr. Irina Moreland will perform in "Inspirational Journey to Impressionism" at the legendary and historical venue of Carnegie Hall, located in New York City. The musical performance will explore an expressive musical palette and virtuosity which applies to the prominent French composers, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel.
Dr. Moreland has taught as an affiliate processor in the CCU's School of Music since 2005. She is known as an instructor and mentor of the highest degree, a versatile stage performer and an event organizer. Dr. Moreland has also performed countless solos in Colorado and abroad, touring countries such as Russia, Austria, Ukraine, Canada, England and Ireland.

The performance at Carnegie Hall will take place on Sunday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. EST in Weill Recital Hall. Dr. Moreland will be joined by Steinway artist, Halida Dinova, who she met in the studio of pianist Anatol Ugorski. The program will include Debussy Selections from Préludes, Book I and Book II, Ravel Alborada del gracioso, Larregla Viva Navarra and Khachaturian "Sabre Dance" from Gayane (transcr. Greg Anderson).
