CCU Named to Wall Street Journal’s America’s Best Colleges List
CCU recognized among the top 10% of colleges and universities in the U.S.
Colorado Christian University has been named to the “America’s Best Colleges 2024” list by the Wall Street Journal and its research partners College Pulse and Statista. The rankings highlight the top 400 colleges and universities out of more than 4,000 in the United States based on data and survey results in the areas of graduate outcomes, learning environment, and diversity.
“At CCU, we are committed to developing and delivering competent, convictional, and courageous graduates into the world; graduates exceptionally employable and capable of becoming cultural leaders,” said President Eric K. Hogue. “Being named one of America’s best colleges by the Wall Street Journal is powerful recognition of the hard work and dedication of the entire Colorado Christian University community to our mission of providing Christ-centered higher education that transforms students to impact the world with grace and truth.”
The ranking is based on official government data and responses from one of the largest independent surveys of verified students and recent alumni ever conducted in the U.S. Unlike other rankings, the “America’s Best Colleges 2024” list does not factor in selectivity or institutional spending. Instead, the rankings focus on student outcomes and experiences. Outcomes make up 70% of the total score, the learning environment contributes 20%, and faculty and student diversity (racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disability status) make up the remaining 10%.
“The Wall Street Journal’s recognition of CCU as one of the best universities in America is further validation of an education based in truth,” said Dr. Janet Black, vice president of Academic Affairs for CCU’s College of Undergraduate Studies. “A rigorous foundation in both the classroom and community prepares CCU graduates whether they are pursing a graduate degree or entering the workforce.”
The “America’s Best Colleges 2024” ranking comes on the heels of CCU being named the sixth fastest-growing, master’s-granting, private university by The Chronicle of Higher Education. It was the eighth consecutive year the University has been ranked. Additionally, the University has been consistently awarded an “A” rating by the American Counsel of Trustees and Alumni for its undergraduate core curriculum and was named a top regional university by US News and World Reports in 2022.
