Biography and Professional Achievements

Since joining Colorado Christian University in 2018, Dr. Elisabeth Armstrong has enjoyed team teaching the capstone Bioethics class for students in the School of Science and Engineering within the College of Undergraduate Studies.

A CCU alumna, Armstrong graduated with honors, earning degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. She went on to earn an MSC from the University of California San Diego, and MSc from Columbia University, and a doctorate in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola University Chicago. She is also an alum of the Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) and Stanford University’s Ethics, Tech, and Public Policy program.

Armstrong’s research focuses on the biopharmaceutical industry, though she frequently writes on current social issues with bioethical dimensions. In addition to her work at CCU, she serves as a senior research associate with Raymond James’ Global Equities and Investment Banking practice. Her previous roles include bioethics positions with Eventide Asset Management, Meta (Facebook) Reality Labs, and CommonSpirit Health. Before working in bioethics, she was an Emmy-nominated broadcast journalist in markets across the country.

Outside of work, Armstrong serves on the Advisory Board of Bioethics International and the Policy Committee of Nucleate.
