Biography and Professional Achievements

Dr. Mike Mlynarczyk (Mi-nar-check) is originally from Wilmington, Delaware but has called Colorado Springs, Colorado home since 2002. After graduating from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware in 1992 with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance, he spent the next 15 years as an Air Force space and missile operations officer with six different assignments at Holloman Air Force Base (AFB), Alamogordo, New Mexico; F.E. Warren AFB, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Vandenberg AFB, Lompoc, California; Peterson AFB, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

During his assignment at Holloman AFB, Mlynarczyk attended Troy State University and completed the Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Public Personnel. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force in January 2008, he enrolled at the University of West Florida through the "Teacher Ready" program to complete his teacher certification in grade 6-12 social sciences.

With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Mlynarczyk felt a vocational calling to teach at the college level. In order to do this, he enrolled at Colorado Technical University where he earned his Doctor of Management (DM) in Organizational Development and Change (DM-ODC) degree with a focus on Organizational Leadership in 2014. He has taught project management, leadership, and organizational and group dynamics at the undergraduate and graduate level in the CCU College of Adult and Graduate Studies Business and Technology Division since 2014.

Since May 2008, Mlynarczyk has been a defense contractor serving as a business development officer, program manager, task lead, team lead, and operations manager in the small business sector. He is currently the Professional Acquisition Support Services (PASS) II Task Lead for Odyssey Systems Consulting and he is responsible for leading a geographically-separated, 70-person team located at Peterson AFB, Hanscom AFB, and Taiwan in support of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Battle Management (HB) Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division (HBQ).

In addition, Mlynarczyk is a volunteer staff member at Springs Lighthouse Church in Colorado Springs and 2016 Presidential Management Fellows Program Semi-Finalist.
