Biography and Professional Achievements
Dr. Michael Robert Smith joined the faculty of CCU after working in the CCU Library for three and a half years managing the student staff, performing administrative duties, and providing assistance to the Director of the Library. Michael brings to the position valuable knowledge in the realms of law, mediation, religion, philosophy, and apologetics. He has meaningful experience as it relates to teaching, providing reference interviews, drafting policies and procedures, collection evaluation, purchasing, budgeting, and is familiar with professional issues, trends, and technology in academic librarianship.

Faith and Learning
Michael resides in Conifer, Colorado, enjoying life’s adventures with his wife Leah and their four-year-old daughter Eve. Outside of his professional life, he actively serves his church in their youth ministry and serves as the faculty advisor to the CCU hockey club. The mission of Colorado Christian University, to be a great bible-based, Christ-centered, conservative, evangelical university that shapes students that impact the world with grace and truth is embraced and taken to heart by Michael, who truly believes his most important responsibility is to help model and inspire humble, wholehearted servanthood to our Lord.
