Biography and Professional Achievements
Susan Fuentes has been a nurse for more than 35 years. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including labor and delivery/postpartum and newborn nursery in acute care, private duty nursing, faith community nursing, and corporate healthcare case management. She was also the president and CEO of a federally qualified health center located in Skid Row, Los Angeles.
She has been heavily involved in staff development and nursing education in all her roles. Fuentes served as adjunct faculty at Azusa Pacific University and Mount St. Mary's College both in population health.
Fuentes teaches population health and provides nursing leadership to the nursing students. She feels called to prepare compassionate Christ-centered nurses of excellence. She is thrilled to be part of CCU's ministry to students, healthcare providers, communities, and the world.
