Why CCU?
When I was in the process of choosing a university, I was searching to be a part of a community that is dedicated to serving the Lord and prioritized equipping its students in Biblical wisdom and truth so that they may become more effective servants for the kingdom of God. A college experience should really be a symbiotic relationship, a true give-and-take between student and institution. It was essential to ensure that the institution I would both be receiving from and giving to would facilitate my growth in a way that would allow both to benefit most effectively. CCU is committed to rigorous academic programs that provide distinct opportunities for students to deepen their critical thinking, knowledge, and aptitudes. These opportunities offer students the means to give back to CCU as an institution and the community. Most importantly, I discovered that CCU is where the Gospel is unashamedly discussed and abided by. Ultimately, CCU is a place where the Gospel is not only discussed but penetrates the very heart of all they do.
How is your CCU experience?
I first heard about CCU through my good friend in high school. She visited CCU for a preview day and told me about her experience, highlighting the unique glorification of Jesus among the students and faculty at CCU. A few months later, I decided to visit and was very impressed by what I saw!
How is your CCU experience?
Though I have only been here for a few months, it has become increasingly evident that Colorado Christian University is a unique place where students, who have all been given different passions and gifts, can come together to learn and sharpen one another. It has been a place of intentional preparation and development of not just my academics but also of social, emotional, and spiritual skills that will serve me for the rest of my life. As a student at CCU, I have already begun to deepen my relationship with God by refining my thinking and theology. I have also experienced opportunities to push myself to expand my perspectives, use my gifts to honor the Lord and my community, and feed my mind to facilitate self-growth and renewed knowledge. The staff and faculty here prioritize leading with grace, learning humbly, and passionately seeking the heart of God in every situation. I am thrilled to be a part of an institution that facilitates and leads me in those goals. I know that through this Christ-centered college experience, I can continue to discover a balanced, stretching, and fulfilling life at CCU.
What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree?
Though the future is unclear, my ultimate aim is to utilize all my skills, passions, gifts, and knowledge for the purposes of the Lord’s kingdom. I hope to be faithful in the direction that God leads me. However, Lord willing, I would love to become a rehabilitation neuroscientist or a physician assistant after my time at CCU.
