Meet Nathan
Why CCU?
I chose CCU because I was looking for a Christian school and one that was pretty small. At first, that was my only requirement. However, when I was looking into the school, I saw that CCU had the word community everywhere and thought to myself "every school is going to say that." But when I came and toured the school, I realized it was not something that the school just said, they really live it out. In the end, I knew CCU was the place for me because of that genuine community.
How did you hear about CCU?
I heard about CCU from my mom who came to Denver for a small concert and then told me about the university.
How is your CCU experience?
I have loved CCU so far! I really feel at peace here and like this is the place God has for me. From my awesome roommate to the friends in my classes, the people around me are such genuine and wholeheartedly kind people. I get to have fun with them every day, whether it be playing Spikeball after class, watching a movie with friends, or hiking a 14er. I love that I can have genuine relationships with my professors and that they call me by name. I love walking to class and being able to say hi to so many people by name, too. My classes are challenging but they really make me think beyond the subject and more into how they each play into God's kingdom.
What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree?
I hope to go to medical school after I graduate and practice family care medicine. The dream? I want to start a family and be a doctor in a small mountain town! But wherever the Lord calls me to serve, I want to do so with joy.
