Meet Quinn
Why CCU?
Being a Biblical Studies major, I knew I wanted to go to a Christian college. As I was searching for the right college, I realized that many of these so-called Christian colleges were not as Christian as they claimed. CCU stood out to me as one of the few colleges I saw that would truly not compromise on the teachings of the Bible.
In addition, I had the opportunity to visit CCU a couple of times, and each time, I loved it more and more. So many of the people were relaxed and down to earth, while also having a great love for the Lord. The combination of the people at CCU and the university's adherence to the gospel that drew me to CCU.
How did you hear about CCU?
I am from Colorado, so I think that CCU kind of naturally came up in my searches. I also heard a good bit from friends and my admissions counselor.
How is your CCU experience?
So far, CCU has been amazing. From the classes to the community to the opportunities to grow in my faith that the university offers, I have had great experiences. Before coming, I was a bit worried about being able to make connections like the ones I had in high school, but it has been so easy to get plugged into campus life and meet people. From the very first weekend, there are so many ways to get involved. One of the first days on campus was the Moonlight Volleyball Tournament. Through that, I was able to get close to the other guys who live with me. Since then, we have gotten to know each other better and I have gotten to know people who don't live near me too.
One thing that stands out to me about CCU is the people here. Everyone is always open to talk, hang out, and get to know each other. I will frequently meet someone and in our first conversation we'll be planning a time to go climbing or skiing. Even the professors personally care about us. They are so willing to meet with us to talk about class, offer some sage advice, and answer some hard questions. Overall, CCU has been a phenomenal, meaningful, and fun experience so far.
What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree?
I don't know exactly what I want to do after I get my degree. I know that I want to work with and serve people in some way. I would love if it could be in some form of ministry, but I'll have to see where the Lord takes me.
