Meet Sara
Why CCU?
I chose CCU because God led me here. When I toured, I could feel His presence on campus. I knew that this would be a place where my faith would grow. Walking down campus and seeing versus on almost every corner reminds me that college isn't truly about me. It is about glorifying God.
How did you hear about CCU?
I heard about CCU through the letters they sent me my junior year of high school. I was not familiar with the school, so I did not give it much thought at first. But slowly over time, the Lord kept nudging me towards CCU. Even though I resisted a couple of times, and convinced myself that CCU wasn't for me, the Lord showed me that this is where I should go. It's not about me but all about Him. Three weeks before move in, I was heading to Nashville and the Lord said, "Nope, turn your car around, you're going to CCU." That's exactly what I did and now I am here. I wouldn't want it any other way.
How is your CCU experience?
The minute I stepped on campus, I was surrounded by loving staff who helped unload my stuff and made the move-in process easy. In my first week I was becoming accustomed to the culture of CCU and meeting new people. Now, I call these people my family. My pod is one of the greatest blessings in my life. I have professors who really want to know me and care about my future. I have never felt this loved and I cannot thank God enough for His wonderful provisions.
What do you hope to achieve after you complete your degree?
I came into CCU a pre-physical therapy major. Two months in I switched and am now double majoring in History and Politics. With this major, I have endless opportunities. I still have time to think about it but I could see myself possibly teaching politics or working with Centennial Institute.
