Meet Elyse
College can be such an exciting and transformative time for students, so finding a school that feels like home to you is so important. CCU can offer you a warm and welcoming environment that allows you to grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. My own college experience allowed me to cultivate my relationship with Christ and my passion for changing the world for God’s kingdom. So, I hope to offer you the help and care you need to find the school that will do the same for you. I look forward to talking and praying with you through this process and I’m excited to support you in finding what the Lord is calling you to!
Hometown: Schererville, Indiana
Education: B.S., Psychology (Grace College and Theological Seminary)
Favorite verse: “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” – Philippians 4:8 (ESV)
Hobbies: Some of my favorite things include reading and building up my home library, paddle boarding on mountain lakes, and spending time with my family and friends. I also love traveling to new places, going to concerts, and spending as much time as I can out in the sunshine.
Before I came to CCU: I attended Grace College and majored in psychology with a minor in youth ministry. At Grace, I worked as a student ambassador in the admissions department and fell in love with helping high school students and their families find the right college for them. I graduated from Grace in 2020, at the height of the pandemic, and decided to continue on to graduate school for clinical counseling at Grace. In the midst of that program, I felt the Lord calling me to move to Colorado where my sister lived and where I had always seen myself ending up. In moving here, I transferred to CCU’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and started working for the admissions department. I’ve loved experiencing the community that CCU provides as an employee as well as a student.
