Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.)

Program Options: Major and Minor

The Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Colorado Christian University incorporates hands-on “making” (prototyping/manufacturing), design, creativity, data analysis, economics, teamwork, applied mathematics, and core sciences such as physics & chemistry. This comprehensive program equips you with real-world experience solving a broad range of complex problems and enhancing systems and processes.

An engineering degree is highly valued for its potential salaries and diverse career opportunities, with specializations available in fields such as biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, and electrical engineering.

Beyond fundamental knowledge, skills, and abilities, you will specialize in an emphasis area that further contextualizes your anticipated career path. Examples of specializations include Industrial and systems Engineering, Technical Project Management, and Computer Science/Software Engineering.

Throughout the program, you will obtain field experience developing solutions to industry challenges and gain practical engineering experience to promote your professional development. To further support this effort, students are strongly encouraged and mentored through the process of securing at least one engineering internship prior to graduation, resulting in a near 100% job placement rate for our graduates of this program.

Engineering Programs at CCU

Offered through the School of Science and Engineering, CCU's engineering program goes beyond developing innovative, complex problem-solvers and value-creators. We seek to develop students who approach engineering from a biblical perspective.

Graduates of this program develop redemptive technologies, solutions, and systems that fulfill God's commissions in Scripture: (1) to exercise dominion over, steward, and develop the latent potential of God's creation, and (2) to reach the world through the gospel, missions, and discipleship.

For this reason, classes, projects, and interactions intentionally integrate engineering best practices with a biblical worldview, preparing you to apply your technical skills and knowledge in ways that honor God and serve others.

About the School of Science and Engineering

In the School of Science and Engineering at Colorado Christian University, character forms the bedrock of God-honoring and kingdom-building science. We aim to help our students explore the world that God created, use cutting-edge technology, and discover how faith interacts with questions that arise out of studying science. We focus on teaching our students how to articulate a Christian perspective on issues such as bioethics, ecology, and human life.

Science and engineering programs are taught within the world of ideas, synthesizing the liberal arts, advanced theories, and applied technology. Our faculty intentionally seek out ways to hone a Christ-like character in our students, inspiring them to become moral and ethical, world-changing leaders. Purposefully small classes and laboratories invite students to learn with their hands as well as their minds. This instills a level of mastery necessary to become a leader in rapidly-advancing fields of science and engineering.
