Financial Aid Verification for Students in the College of Undergraduate Studies
Verification is a process in which the U.S. Department of Education requires schools to collect documents in order to confirm the information submitted on the FAFSA. Schools are not allowed to award financial aid until the verification process is complete. Only if you have been selected for verification do you need to submit verification documents. If you have not been selected for verification, you do not need to complete the verification process.
Students selected for verification who have not completed the IRS Data Retrieval Tool must submit an IRS Tax Return Transcript for the year listed below:
Verification Year | IRS Tax Return Transcript |

In Self-Service Financial Aid you will be directed to the Verify My FAFSA online platform. In Verify My FAFSA you will see tasks that must be completed. Click on each section to see what information and/or documents are required for that particular task.
When you have completed each task you will submit your completed verification documents for review to the Student Financial Services processing team. You will receive correspondence about any details of your documents that may need to be corrected.
Important note: DO NOT SEND YOUR INFORMATION BY EMAIL, FAX, MAIL, or PERSONAL DELIVERY. Log into your Verify My FAFSA account through Self-Service Financial Aid and only submit your forms there.
