Education Majors, Minors, and Emphases
CCU's education degree programs offer teacher preparation programs in elementary education, secondary education, special education, and K-12 music education.
Each program focuses on combining theory and practice, giving you hands-on experience in the classroom through 800 hours of field experience in student teaching and other involvement in local schools.
The Education major is unique, because you won’t receive your degree in education. Instead, you'll major in a subject area such as liberal arts, English, or history (or choose from the others noted below), and then supplement that field of study with education courses to give you the most subject and classroom preparation.
